What is Peyronie’s Disease?

Peyronie’s disease is a severe form of penis curvature. What is believed to cause Peyronie’s disease is a buildup of collagen and scar tissue fibrosis in the penile shaft. Sometimes referred to by Urologists, the “plaque” essentially attaches to otherwise normal parts of the penis chambers and causes a stiffening or tightening of the effected area and this results in the penis having a curved appearance.

The exact cause of the scar tissue and plaque is not widely known, however it is known that it can be a condition that can simply seems to come on with age, through injury and some men can simply be born with it. In some men Peyronie’s disease can can cause issues related to their sex life and relationships, some can have severe pain form the condition and others can find it hard to urinate depending in the severity of the penis curvature.

Before the Jes Extender had it’s first conception in 1994, corrective penis surgery was the only proven and accepted method by the medical community to treat Peyronies disease. However, it has since become known that this surgical procedure comes with risks, not to mention the healing time associated with the surgery.

While surgical treatment for Peyronie’s Disease is still largely administered today, more and more Doctors and specialist urologists are recommending Jes Extender for Peyronie’s disease treatment. We certainly welcome these recommendations and praise the medical community professionals that let their patients know about our products because they not only help reduce the possible risks of surgery for their patients, they also prevent them from having to undergo the side effects such as penile shortening that is a commonly experienced after the healing phase of Peyronie’s disease surgical treatment.

This is not to mention the fact that sometimes (as has been made aware to us by many customers) the surgery does not provide permanent results in terms of reducing the penile curvature. Simply explained, many men not only have to live with a shorter penis after the surgery, sometimes the condition can even return after some months or years after the procedure.

No matter what type of curvature a man may have, Jes Extender has been proven as a Peyronie’s disease treatment and more research is being done and released on a daily basis to back the use of traction as a safe and alternative method to surgery.
